Sarah Allers graduated from the Finger Lakes School of Massage in 2006 after completing its 1,000-hour massage therapy program. Over the past two decades, she has developed a thoughtful, individualized approach to bodywork shaped by both her professional experience and her background as a competitive athlete.
Sarah has extensive experience working with athletes, including providing massage therapy for track and field athletes during the 2008 U.S. Olympic Track & Field Trials as part of Nike’s athlete support team. She also brings a unique personal perspective to her work, having qualified for the 1996 U.S. Olympic Trials in the marathon.
Her years as a competitive runner have given her firsthand understanding of training, recovery, muscle tension, injury, and the importance of listening to what the body is communicating.
Sarah believes effective massage does not always need to be painful or extremely deep. By understanding how the muscles, nervous system, and body respond to touch, she creates customized treatments based on what each client needs that day rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.
Her goal is for every client to leave feeling that their body has been heard, understood, and cared for—not simply worked on.
Sarah incorporates a variety of techniques into her sessions, including Swedish massage, trigger point therapy, muscle release techniques, nervous-system-focused bodywork, cupping, and other modalities tailored to the individual.
When she isn't busy solving “muscle puzzles,” Sarah can usually be found out on a training run with her husband, Eric. She is also a dog lover who is currently dog-less—and a devoted Tigger fan, with a little bit of Tigger finding its way into almost every room of her home.
